Why Sober Sessions Exists
Live music is often built around alcohol. For some people, that changes how accessible a show is or whether it feels worth attending at all. Sober Sessions exists to remove that barrier without changing the basic structure of a concert.
How It Started
Sober Sessions began as a small run of shows created by Recovery Unplugged Behavioral Health. Artists played. People came. The shows didn’t need selling. Since then, the series has grown across multiple states, drawing thousands of attendees and collaborating with nationally recognized artists, venues, and brands. What started as a handful of concerts has become a moving network of people coming together around live music in spaces that don’t rely on alcohol or drugs to function
Where It’s Going
The series continues to grow city by city, guided by interest from artists, venues, and local communities. The goal is straightforward:make room for live music communities that don’t revolve around alcohol or drugs. As Sober Sessions expands, it does so with the intention of reaching people across the country and eventually abroad, creating consistent places where music and substance-free nights can exist without explanation.
